US sends condolences to Iran over Raisi’s death

United States State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said on Monday in a statement that Washington sends its condolences to Iran over the deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other people who lost their lives in a helicopter crash.

“As Iran selects a new president, we reaffirm our support for the Iranian people and their struggle for human rights and fundamental freedoms,” Miller remarked.
