United States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will have a private meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in an unknown country in Southeast Asia, according to two people familiar with the agenda, Financial Times reported on Thursday.
According to the media, similar undisclosed meetings between Sullivan and Wang happened before Presidents Joe Biden and Xi Jinping met in November to rebuild relations amid various tensions, suggesting that a possible leaders’ encounter may be underway.
