US, UK, Canada sanction former Lebanese central bank governor

The United States, the United Kingdom and Canada announced on Thursday that they are imposing sanctions on the former Lebanese central bank (Banque du Liban) Governor Riad Salameh (pictured) and three associates. Salameh is accused of diverting $300 million of the central bank’s funds for personal gain.
