The death toll from the eruption of the Semeru volcano on Indonesia’s island of Java rose to 13, Abdul Muhari, spokesperson for the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB), stated.
Muhari stated two out of those 13 victims have been identified so far. Earlier, the BNPB said at least 41 people were injured in the disaster. Meanwhile, thousands were forced to evacuate.
