WHO-Airborne transmission of COVID-19 possible

Getting contaminated with COVID-19 through air particles in closed spaces is probable, according to the guidelines that the World Health Organization revealed on Thursday.

In an update of the study issued on March 29, WHO stated that a possibility of contracting coronavirus after spending time in “crowded and inadequately ventilated spaces over a prolonged period of time with infected persons cannot be ruled out.”

The guidelines further repeated the need to wear masks, both indoors and outdoors when in close contact with other people and stated that more research needs to be done in order to get a full grasp on how the COVID-19 spreads.
