Worldwide COVID deaths hit new daily record at 16,362

The number of confirmed COVID-19 deaths increased by 16,362 on January 13, scoring another record daily increase, global coronavirus data showed.

The United States remained the biggest contributor to the death toll with another 4,327 deaths registered, followed by the United Kingdom, Mexico, Germany, and Brazil.

At the same time, new infections climbed by 745,811.
