For her entry into the German tournament in Stuttgart, and after thirteen days following her failure on the Charleston circuit, Ons Jabeur returned to the clay court and qualified for the 8th round. Nevertheless, Jabeur, far from being at 100%, knows that the road ahead is still long.
On the central court, on which she was beaten in 2023 in the semi-final against Swiatel, Ons triumphed in three sets 2-6 6-3 and 7-6 [7-1] in front of Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, in – only – 2h01′. Faced with the opposition that was undoubtedly predicted to be a bit tougher, the Tunisian played calmly to pick up her first success on clay in the German tournament.
While waiting for the WTA in Rome, the road to why not a first coronation in Stuttgart is still very long since she must meet the Italian Jasmine Paolini (14th WTA).
