WTA ranking: Sabalenka eliminated, Ons Jabeur will be 4th in the world after RG

An extremely hot Saturday at Roland Garros. Spaniard Paula Badosa (n°3), hurt, and Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (n°7) both left the tournament through the back door, in the third round.

On the other hand, it is Good news for Ons Jabeur, who is guaranteed to be the world No. 4 (4150 points) in the new WTA ranking, at the end of RG 2022. She will be ahead of Maria Sakkari (5th) and Sabalenka (6th), but behind Badosa (3rd) and Kontaveit (2nd).

The sole danger for the Tunisian lies in American Jessica Pegula (3255 points), who qualified for the 1/8 finals, but in the event of her win, she will meet in the 1/4 finals the world n°1, Polish Iga Swiatek. Pegula, and in case of coronation at RG, she will have the right to become the 2nd in the world with 4825 points.
