Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Thursday that Russia launched over 40 missiles and about 40 drone attacks on his country’s critical infrastructural objects during the previous night.
Writing on Facebook, Zelensky remarked that some of the drones Russia fired were Iranian-made Shaheds, with “unfortunately, only a part” of them being shot down. The areas Moscow’s troops targeted included Kharkiv, Kiev, Zaporozhzhia, Odessa, and Lviv.
“Each of our neighbors in Europe, each of our other partners sees how critical Ukraine’s need for air defense is,” Zelensky pleaded. “If Russia is allowed to continue to do this … this will be a global license for terror. We need air defense and other defense support, not turning a blind eye and long discussions.”
