Zuckerberg drops to 6th on rich list after outages

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has dropped to sixth on Forbes’ Real Time Billionaires list on Monday, with $6.8 billion wiped from his fortune amid global outages on Facebook and associated social media platforms.

This development rounds off a turbulent day for the company, facing an antitrust lawsuit and whistleblower accusations of knowingly contributing to the storming of the Capitol on January 6. These issues prompted the White House to comment that social media self-regulation was not working.
