68 injured after Magnitude 5.9 earthquake hits northwest Turkey

At least 68 people were injured in a 6.1-magnitude earthquake that hit western Turkey overnight on Tuesday, local officials have confirmed.

The earthquake was centered in the town of Golkaya, in Duzce province, some 200 kilometers (125 miles) east of Istanbul, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency said.
