7 killed in a violent storm lash in northern Greece

Seven people died and more than 100 were wounded when a short-lived storm hit northern Greece. The storm shredded trees and rooftops. Greek police promptly announced that two aged people from the Czech Republic were killed when a strong storm wrecked a mobile home in the island of Halkidiki.

Moreover, a woman and an eight-year-old boy from Romania were killed instantly when a visible roof fell instantly on a local restaurant in a private resort in Nea Plagia. The potential victims also include a man and a young boy, both Russians, who died instantly when a tree befell near their local hotel in the seaside town of Potidea. The seventh victim was unknown men who were found in the sea.
