Tunisia-Sousse: Detention of people for providing virtual sexual services

The First Deputy Public Prosecutor and official spokesperson for the Court of First Instance of Sousse 1, Moez Youssfi confirmed that the Public Prosecutor’s Office demanded the opening of a probe against 3 people (a man and two women) for trafficking humans through their sexual exploitation and their membership in an active network inside and outside Tunisian territory specializing in human trafficking.

The prisoners are accused of pimping and manipulating communication networks to perpetrate their crimes. The prosecution decided to keep them on the background of the aforementioned charges. In the details of the case, Youssfi clarified to Tunisienumerique that the suspects (two girls and an old man) were imprisoned in the background of delivering virtual sexual services via Messenger and WhatsApp applications. Sequences they transmitted to strangers in exchange for a large sum of money. The investigating judge issued a rogatory commission, to which the judicial police of southern Sousse undertook to continue the inquiries with the purpose of discovering the truth and determining the responsibilities.
