President of the Republic, Kais Saied, welcomed this Wednesday morning, at Carthage Palace, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdellatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.
During this meeting, the President of the Republic hailed the strength of the relations of fraternity and cooperation that exist between Tunisia and Bahrain and voiced our country’s concern to further consolidate and diversify these ties in several areas. and to overcome the difficulties that could be encountered in the implementation of certain Bahraini projects and investments in Tunisia.
The Head of State was notified of the preparations underway to organize the next Arab summit in Manama, remarking on the efforts made to guarantee that this summit is held in the best conditions and accomplishes results that meet the aspirations of the people. of the region, underscoring Tunisia’s willingness to continue to contribute effectively to the development of joint Arab action.
This meeting, also, was an opportunity for the President of the Republic to examine the Palestinian cause, reaffirming Tunisia’s firm and permanent support for the Palestinian people in their struggles against the unprecedented aggression of which they are victims and their total support for its legitimate aspirations to recover its rights, which are not subject to any prescription, and to establish its full sovereignty over the entire land of Palestine, with its capital, Al-Quds.
For his part, the Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed to the President of the Republic the greetings of the Bahraini leaders and his wishes for Tunisia for progress and development.
He also presented the preparations to host the Arab Summit in Manama and the continued consultations at different levels to formulate initiatives in several areas to serve common Arab interests and unify efforts to confront current challenges.
