Tunisia-Cumulative external debt services up 25.8% to 1.2 billion TD

The cumulative external debt services have grown by 25.8% on February 10, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022.

According to monetary and financial data issued by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), the cumulative external debt services surpass 1.2 billion dinars.

These charges are barely offset by tourist revenue and cumulative labour income which is grown by 74 %respectively, to 441 million dinars (for tourist revenue), and from 10% to 819 MD (work income).

As a reminder, the public debt services surpassed 12 billion dinars during the first 11 months of 2022.

The overall volume of external debt amounted to nearly 5 billion dinars, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.

As for net assets in foreign currency, they relapsed 22 billion dinars, which represents 95 days of importation, on February 17, against 23.4 billion dinars (or 131 days of import ), on the same date of the past year.
