Tunisia- Dismantling of trafficking Network of archaeological artefacts

A network of trafficking in archaeological artefacts, working in the governorates of Greater Tunis, was dismantled Wednesday by a patrol under the sub-directorate of the Ben Arous National Guard’s anti-crime unit,the TAP reported.
Spokesperson for the National Guard Houssemeddine Jebabli published this on his official Facebook page.
According to the same source, during the operation, patrol officers detained eight individuals from this network and seized three books, a 4.20-metre historical parchment (manuscript in Hebrew) and two cars used by members of the network.
According to experts from the National Heritage Institute, the seized items are of priceless historical value.
After consultation with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was determined to hold the members of this archaeological artefact trafficking network in custody and take the necessary measures against them.
