Tunisia-[Video] Adnen Hajji accuses executive power

MP at the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) Adnen Hajji said that the involvement of prime minister Elyes Fakhfekh in the so-called conflict of interest case appears to be confirmed by the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC), President Chawki Tabib.

In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, The MP, nevertheless, evoked that it would be essential to wait for the verdict of the investigation committees and the judicial bodies before making a clear opinion .. If the PM is proven guilty he will have to step down.

Regarding Amdoun tragedy and the transport of agricultural workers in general, Adnen Hajji pointed fingers to the executive power who is accountable for enforcing the laws, adding that the parliament had already performed its job in proclaiming a law governing the transportation of these workers.

He also pointed out that inquiry committees are not courts and consequently do not have the same means to put their decisions into practice.
