President Kais Saied Received Hichem Mechichi in Carthage presidential palace and formally tasked him to form the new government, reads a statement by the presidency of the republic.
The head of state clarified that the choice comes after reviewing the proposals received by the Presidency of the Republic from representatives of parties and parliamentary blocs, and in accordance with Chapter 89 of the Constitution.
He urged the new prime minister-designate to form his government in a month deadline that begin tomorrow July 26, 2020.
