Director of the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases Nissaf Ben Alaya confirmed that the operation of isolating the regions witnessing a rapid spread of COVID-19 is currently underway.
She pointed out that Gabes has been cordoned off for mass screening operation for the virus.
The same source added that a set of exceptional measures are being taken in the areas where the virus is spreading, including preventing demonstrations and gatherings, closing weekly places and markets, and carrying out widespread sterilization operations.
