An additional 2.185 people tested positive for coronavirus after 5.689 tests were performed on October 17 and 18, the Health Ministry said on Monday. This takes total infection numbers to 42.727.
61 more COVID-19 fatalities were reported, bringing the death toll to 687 the Ministry further said.
978 patients are currently hospitalised, including 173 in intensive care and 103 on life support
