President of the Independent High Authority for the Elections (ISIE) Nabil Baffoun said that the ISIE had made sufficient efforts regarding the presidential nominee Nabil Karoui.
Baffoun positively affirmed that they had repeatedly requested Karoui release to guarantee equal opportunities for both presidential nominees. Baffoun also stressed the ISIE commitment to conduct the second round of the early presidential candidates on the 13th of October.
He also stressed during a press conference held today, that the ISIE can not intervene with the independence of other authorities, emphasising that the ultimate ruling rests in the hands of the Tunisian judiciary.
