Tunisia-Tunisia and Kenya sign 3 memoranda of understanding

Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui and his Kenyan counterpart Monica Juma signed three memoranda of understanding during his two-day visit to Kenya.
The three memoranda cover vocational training, employment, health and political consultation fields.
This visit, the first of its kind since the founding of the diplomatic relationships between both countries in 1963, is part of Tunisia’s readiness to extend the floor of its economic allies, a Foreign Ministry press release on Tuesday reads.

The official visit will also promote the mutual friendship and co-operation relations merging Tunisia and eastern African countries and the regional economic communities, notably the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two officials accepted to conduct the 1st session of the Tunisian-Kenyan joint commission throughout the first quarter of 2020.
Critical importance was also placed on the necessity to step up political deliberations between both countries to coordinate positions on regional and international matters of communal interest.
