AFCON 2024 – Gr F: Morocco beats Tanzania 3-0 (video)

The first match of Group F, played at the Laurent Pokou stadium (San-Pedro), saw Morocco snatch the 3 points of victory and take the lead in the ranking after dominating (3-0) Tanzania, 121st nation in the FIFA rankings.

Highly anticipated and significantly scrutinized especially after the missteps of the Algerians and the Tunisians the Atlas Lions made a strong impression from the beginning thanks to the double signed by Romain Saiss then Azzedine Ounahi made the break (77′ – watch video).

In the 80th minute, Youssef En-Nesyri scored the 3rd goal after taking a superb cross from Hakimi but his goal was denied for an offside position. After consulting the VAR, the goal is awarded and the player who gave up his place celebrates it with the sidelines.
