AFCON 2024-Tunisia out of race

Each day of the final stage of AFCON 2024 has its share of surprises. After the exit through the back door for Algeria, one of the favourite teams of this edition, it is the turn of Tunisia to leave the Ivorian tournament on the tips of its toes, in last place with only 2 points.

Unfortunately, there will no longer be a round of 16 for the Carthage Eagles, as in 2019. Confronted with a critical situation in this AFCON, the Carthage Eagles and the South African Bafana Bafana left on a sad note (0-0), at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium (20,000 seats) in Korhogo.

Mali is already qualified (5 points). South Africa is pushed to 2nd place in Group E at the end of the last day of this group stage. The 3rd team likely to accompany them is none other than Namibia, who obtained a draw (0-0) against the Malian Eagles, which means qualification and a historic moment for Namibian football.
