AFCON Hand 2024: beaten by Egypt, Tunisia is satisfied with qualifying for World Cup (video)

The date of the 25th of this month could not be the birth of our new senior handball team. It will have a second opportunity to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris by playing in a tournament which will take place in March.

Qualified for the 2025 World Cup after defeating Guinea, the national team failed to qualify for the 19th final in its history of the African Nations Championship after its loss in the semi-final against Egypt, holders of the title (see video).

With the hope of qualifying for the final and 11th continental crown, our handball players were defeated with a score of 30-25 (12-17 at the break). It will play for the bronze medal against the loser

The Egyptian organizers and those of the CAHB did everything not to have their Tunisian opponents in the way particularly in the final to avoid missing their apotheosis, in this case, the place of accommodation and the times of the matches by granting 2 to 3 hours of extra rest for the Pharaohs compared to the toughest opponents!
