After his family was killed in Gaza, Al Jazeera journalist Wael Dahdouh saw his cameraman partner, Samer Abou Daqa, martyred in an Israeli strike in a school in Khan Younes, Al Jazeera reported.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the loss of our dedicated Al Jazeera cameraman, Samer Abou Daqa,” Mohamed Moawad, editor-in-chief of the television channel, wrote on “X”.
According to Al Jazeera, Samer Abou Daqa was seriously wounded but remained for hours at the scene of the strike, which emergency services did not reach because the road was blocked by the rubble of a home.
