Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs stated on Monday that at least eight people have been killed in the Shevchenkivs’kyi district in Kyiv, while 24 have been injured. The Ukrainian capital was targeted by rockets earlier this morning, which the government attributed to Russia.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said there have been “several hits on the objects of the city’s critical infrastructure” and added that emergency services are on the ground. Eyewitness reports show a number of cars and buildings on fire, as well as a damaged pedestrian bridge in the city centre.
