Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said Thursday that it has proof supporting the earlier decision to expel two French diplomats from the Embassy in Baku, in opposition to Paris’s similar allegedly groundless measure.
Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov said that the national special services “have facts and evidence against these people, confirming their guilt” and that France was timely informed about it, giving its consent to launch an investigation. “If the French government was sure of the innocence of its employees, it should not have ignored our call,” he added.
