Berlin, Paris to go on with joint tank project

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius  met with his French counterpart Sebastien Lecornu  on Friday in Paris.

The two sides both confirmed that they will be pursuing the joint MGCS “tank of the future” project and signing a formal document to start the first phase. Pistorius remarked that the main aim right now is to make contracts for the new Franco-German tank by the end of 2024.
