United States President Joe Biden called on Wednesday his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin a “war criminal” over his actions in Ukraine.
After being asked if Putin is a war criminal, Biden initially responded he is not ready to label him that yet but just minutes later he said: “I think he is a war criminal.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reacted immediately to the comments, accusing Biden of “unacceptable and unforgivable rhetoric” from a leader of a country “from whose bombs hundreds of thousands of people have died.”
