WHO: COVID-19 cases rising globally again

World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated on Wednesday that “after several weeks of declines, reported cases of COVID-19 are once again increasing globally, especially in parts of Asia.”

Ghebreyesus also noted that the increases are taking place despite reductions in coronavirus testing in certain countries, meaning that the recorded data is “just the tip of the iceberg.”
