European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell confirmed on Thursday the reports the bloc will train additional 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers and 30,000 in total.
Borrell made an announcement in a tweet after a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. “Also announced to the Prime Minister that EU will provide €25 million to support demining efforts in endangered areas. Protecting civilians and their livelihood is a priority,” he added.
