Brazil’s coronavirus death toll surpassed 80,000 Monday, according to health ministry figures

Health authorities also revealed that 20,257 people tested positive for the COVID-19 during the day on Monday, declining slightly compared to the infections seen in the previous update.

Following the added numbers the country’s total rose to 2,118,646.
