Brazil Ministry of Health recorded a total of 1,188,631 cases of COVID-19 as 42,725 new cases were registered in the past 24 hours.
The officials further confirmed the death toll has reached 53,830, with 1,185 new deaths.
The ministry added that a total of 649,908 patients have recovered from the infection, 36,563 of those in the previous 24 hours.
