China-6 killed after suspected blast at hydropower station in Yunnan

Six people were killed and five others wounded after a speculated blast that hit a hydropower plant in southwest China’s Yunnan Province on Friday.
The emergency management department of Yunnan told the accident occurred at the Sinanjiang Hydropower Station in Mojiang County. It befell as workers were dredging the dam’s ventilation tunnel.
Officials announced the rescue operation had been finished and the wounded were not in a life-threatening condition. An inquiry has been launched into the cause of the accident.
