China reports 1,995 new COVID cases

Chinese National Health Committee revealed on Monday on its website that the number of new daily symptomatic COVID-19 cases stood at 1,995. China stopped reporting asymptomatic infections last week as a consequence of its public health policy changes.

Although the number came in a bit lower than Saturday’s 2,097 cases, the official body stated that the number of critically ill patients rose by 11 to 253.
