Dams: More than 28 million m³ of inflow registered Monday, equivalent of approximately one month of water consumption

As of December 18, 2023, the general filling rate of dams in Tunisia stood at 25.6%, according to the National Agricultural Observatory (ONAGRI). The distribution of filling rates is about 29.7% in the North, 11.6% in the Centre, and 8.4% in the Cap Bon region, as reported in the ONAGRI bulletin in December 2023 figures.

On December 18, the inflows from dams attained 28.1 million m³, equivalent to approximately one month of water consumption (estimated at 1 m³ per day). The most significant inflows on that day were registered at dams such as Barbara (1,464 m³), Sidi Salem (2,327 m³), Bou Heurtma (2,526 m³), and Bir Mchergua (3,849 m³). From December 1 to 18, the total inflows into the dams reached 107,885 m³.
