Egypt – Train collision – Building collapse: PM Mechichi offers condolences

Prime minister on Sunday offered his sincere condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly and extended his sympathy and solidarity, following the collision of two passenger trains in the south of the country and the collapse of a building in Cairo.

In a phone conversation, the PM paid respects to the victims of the two “tragic” accidents, expressing wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured, a Prime Ministry press release reads.

The PM also asked his Egyptian counterpart concerning the fate of the ship “Ever Givin”, which has been stuck in the Suez Canal since last Tuesday, communicating his hope for a swift solution to this problem in order for navigation in the Suez Canal to return to its previous activity.

The Prime Minister hailed the strength and stability of relationships between Tunisia and Egypt at the official and popular levels.

For his part, the Egyptian Prime Minister praised the historical and fraternal relationships that unite Egypt, Tunisia and the two brotherly peoples, revealing to his Tunisian counterpart a common desire for the success of all future bilateral entitlement, on its head by the expected Egyptian-Tunisian Joint Higher Committee which will be held in Tunisia at the level of prime ministers.
