Erdogan calls on Muslims to unite to stop Israel’s attacks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a phone conversation with Gambia’s President Adama Barrow, urged the Muslim world on Thursday to “act in unity to stop Israel’s attacks on Gaza and ensure compliance with the United Nations resolutions.”

Meanwhile, delivering a speech at a meeting with the Union of International Democrats (UID) Delegation in Ankara, Erdogan said that “Turkey has displayed a wise and courageous stance not only on Islam and xenophobia but also on the 7-month-long Gaza crisis.”

He went on to criticize the West for “lecturing” others about freedom and democracy while having “hypocritical policies on massacres in Gaza.”
