Erdogan: EU sanctions won’t have major impact

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan maintained on Wednesday that possible sanctions the European Union could inflict against Ankara over drillings in the Eastern Mediterranean will not have a prominent impact on the country.

According to him, “honest leaders” across the bloc haven’t supported the sanctions and Turkey stands ready to proceed to defend its own interests in the area.
