Facebook brings face recognition to users

Facebook Inc is presently offering facial-recognition features to all of its users with an option to opt-out by default, the company said as it suspended “Tag Suggestions.”

Facebook said that those who don’t utilise the prominent feature will soon receive an official notice in their news feeds about the change, along with an alternative to remain it off or turn it on.

Facebook lost a federal suit after courts resolutely determined the company received and collected biometric data without user permission.
