The French Minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanin revealed, this Friday, November 13, 2020, that 48 foreigners in an irregular situation and speculated of radicalization have been ousted from France since July 1 when he had proclaimed, alternately, that France wanted to expel from its territory 231 illegal aliens followed for radicalization.
In a statement to Franceinfo, Darmanin told that in addition to the 48 expulsions, “half of these 231 people are presently out of action.” 50 of them are currently in administrative custody expecting deportation and 43 others are under house arrest, according to his entourage. “There are still more than a hundred foreigners in an irregular situation whom we speculate of radicalization” on the national territory, added Darmanin.
In addition, the minister said he wished that his successive trips to Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria or Thursday to Russia, the nation most represented among radicalized foreigners in an irregular situation in France, “will accelerate these expulsions”. These trips, during which he gave the authorities a list of people to be expelled, “have already produced a number of results,” he said.
