In its latest report, the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights (FTDES) revealed that 28 suicides and attempted suicides were documented during November.
“The male gender represented 82.1% of the whole suicide victims and suicide attempts. It should be remarked that the age group between 26 and 45 years old is the most impacted by suicides and suicide attempts and if we concentrate on this one we will discover that it is the active group that meets many difficulties in accessing full rights, especially economic and social rights such as access to employment, wealth and production.
The number of victims of this age group who committed suicide or tried suicide has reached 23 victims, “the same report reads.
