Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza on Sunday registered the passing of a number of cancer patients due to failure to receive the required treatment, in light of the collapse of the health sector and interruption of electricity and supplies.
Gaza’s health spokesperson stated the Al-Shifa medical complex was completely shut down and its medical teams were unable to provide any service to the wounded or sick, confirming the death of 5 injured due to the inability of medical teams to treat them following the power outage.
He furthermore said two premature babies and one intensive care patient had died, and that he predicted the number of deaths to rise in the coming hours.
The spokesperson emphasised that “the ongoing Zionist army bombing of Al-Shifa Hospital has stopped people from going out to bury 100 people inside the complex.”
Violent clashes took place 200 to 300 meters near the complex.”
