Gaza’s Al-Aqsa Hospital to shut down due to fuel shortage

Gaza Health Ministry spokesperson Khalil al-Degran shared on Thursday that Al-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza will soon be forced to cease its operations due to fuel shortages.

“Because of [Israel’s] practices and the United Nations’ procrastination regarding the necessary fuel for the generators to work at the hospital,” Al Jazeera quoted the ministry’s spokesperson as saying, adding that there are roughly 1,300 sick and wounded patients in the hospital at the moment.

“We have launched so many appeals during recent days to urgently have fuel in the hospital, but no concerned parties have responded,” the spokesperson stressed.
