Italian president accepts Draghi’s resignation

Italian President Sergio Mattarella accepted Thursday Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi’s resignation, the former’s office shared in a statement.

Mattarella received Draghi this morning at the Palazzo del Quirinale and asked him to continue his work as a caretaker government until a regular government is selected.
