Italy: Earthquake hits near Sicily

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake hit the coast of Sicily on Tuesday evening without causing damage but creating panic among the population of the nearest towns, Italian media reported.
According to the National Institute of Geophysics and Vulcanology (INGV), the earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4, originally prophesied to be 4.6, happened at sea, at 21:12 GMT, a few kilometres from the coast of Sicilian and at a depth of 30 km.
