Italy: Seizure of more than 80 tonnes of waste destined for Tunisia, according to Majdi Karbaï

Former MP and civil society activist Majdi Karbaï has just reported, in a post published on his official page, that 4 garbage trucks loaded with 82 tonnes of waste destined for Tunisia had been confiscated at the port of Carrara in Italy.

This is household waste; clothing, plastic waste, used toys and electronic waste, according to the former MP.

According to his explanations, the waste was seized on the Italian side despite acquiring authorization for its transport to Tunisia, from the Italian and Tunisian authorities.
