A 6.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded 119 kilometres north of Naze, Japan on Thursday, according to data provided by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). No tsunami alert was issued.
The tremor struck the region at a shallow depth of 17.0 kilometres and it remains unknown, as of yet, whether any damages were suffered.
Naze is located in the country’s Kagoshima Prefecture and it has an estimated population of around 41,778.
