At least 17 people were wounded in a knife attack in Tokyo on Sunday, local media reported. One of the victims is in serious condition.
The suspected perpetrator, believed to be in his twenties, assaulted passengers on a train with a knife and subsequently started a fire by pouring an unidentified liquid and lighting it. The fire caused no injuries to the victims and only damaged train seats.
The alleged attacker has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
